Apparently Pablo Escobar (former drug lord to some and a modern Robin Hood to others) Owned a pair of Hippos that became wild after his death and escaped to the Jungles of Colombia and have reproduced. Now they have become a problem and the Colombian government is trying to deal with a small wild herd of guerilla hippos by killing the leader Pepe.

Rivera (AKA CAR in Checzlovakia): Though some campesinos from Puerto Berrio had expressed their objection to the presence of the hippopotamus, yesterday many of them expressed their rejection of the operation that culminated in the death of "Pepe," as they affectionately called the animal. "We were accustomed to his being here, and what they did to him seems unjust. They could have captured him and transported him somewhere else. If they come back here we won't tell them where the baby is," they said.

I Looooooove Disney. Maybe it's my childhood memories of magical movie and park moments, or the fact that I am the actual representation of one of the lost boys in Neverland (I'd like to think Peter Pan), yeah, I never grow up. But to think that Disney is all magic and niceties is pretty naive, so when I come across a post about "The Dark Side of Disney", my eyes grow wide, my pupils dilate, and I feel like I'm peeping into someones private image folder on their desktop. Yea you know, that one folder with the images that exposes how freak nasty your boooring friend really is. Well, Neatorama.com opened that folder for us all to sneak a peek.

Disney isn’t always the Happiest Place on Earth. The parks sometimes harbor deep, dark secrets – and we’re not talking the Haunted Mansion or the Tower of Terror. Below are a few sinister secrets Mickey doesn’t want you to know about.

Deaths

We’ve all heard the rumors that no one has ever died at a Disney park because Disney has paid officials to refrain from declaring injured or ill people dead until they hit a hospital outside of Disney property. But it’s not true. There are several incidents where the victims were reported to have died at the scene.

In 2007, a Spanish teenager died while she was riding the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Disneyland Paris. Her friends noticed she was unconscious when the ride stopped, according to the BBC, and park medics immediately rushed to the scene. There was nothing they could do, though, and she was pronounced dead by the time an ambulance could get there. Photo from DLPInfo.

In June of both 1973 and 1983, 18-year-old boys drowned in the Rivers of America. Both had stayed in the area when they weren’t supposed to - the incident in ‘73 occurred when a boy and his brother decided to stay in the park after closing and the ‘83 incident happened when a boy capsized a rubber emergency raft he had stolen from a cast-only section of the park.

In 1984, Dollie Young was riding the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland when her seatbelt became unbuckled. To this day, it’s not known how Dollie fell out of her car, but she did. She fell to the track and was hit by another car, then caught under its wheels and dragged for a bit before the ride came to a stop. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive head and chest injuries.

And, of course, there was the infamous “America Sings” death of 1974. An employee named Debbi Stone was working as the hostess to the show one evening when her fellow cast members were alerted to the fact that she was missing. Some reports say they noticed at some point during the evening; other reports say a guest heard Debbi’s screams and immediately told cast members. Either way, by the time she was found, Debbi had been crushed to death between a rotating theater wall and a permanent theater wall; she definitely didn’t make it to a hospital first.

So, we're located here in San Francisco's Mission District, and one of the nice things about the vibrant night life in The Mission is the fact that if the bars aren't poppin' then you can just go down to an alleyway and start partying it up with street bands.

Augmented reality technology

For you gamers out there, augmented reality is the combination of the real world and computer generated data. What this means is that you can use a device with a camera and a screen and play a real time game where your surroundings are digitally enhanced on screen with any sort of graphic i.e. monsters, a war, underwater, whatever.
I wonder if i'll be able to enhance all the people I can't stand around me :)

Here's another use for this thechnology. You can use this software to get real time information on events, weather, and maybe even personal data. So for you shy geeks, you'll be able to point your camera phone at some girl and download her digits without having to actually talk to her.

Ed Hardy, Tapout, Affliction, these are just some of the names you'll see branded on some tough guy's chest out there in the realm of meat market night clubs. Not to say that every guy that wears these shirts is a douchbags, but the majority make a case for it.
It's like a game for me to try to point out a douchebag by his appearance. Yes, that's correct, i'm judging a fucking book by it's cover. But this is obviously a shitty book full of pictures and hardly any literature to appeal to the retarded masses with a big bright colorful cover.
Anyways, here's a list of tell tale signs to identify your local Douche:

1. Loud, in your face printed graphic tees. with a possible matching hat thrown in there for Uber douchery.

2. Stupid ass tattoos based on current trends, like arm bands, lone wolfs, Chinese characters when you're not even Chinese...You get the point.

3. Blown out hair and fake ass orange tans. WTF! This one I really don't get. why do you wan't to appear as though you were part of a looney tunes explosion with your hair spiked out blown back and a fake ass tan that doesn't remotely look natural.

4. Facial hair, like mini chin straps, barely there eyebrows (when it's obvious that you're a hairy fuck), and or a clean manicured 5 o'clock shadow (Or as we, out here in the bay area, call the San Jose look). The image above pretty much covers 2 outta 3 here.

5. Attention whore shades. Unless you're cyclops from X-men, there is no need to have shades that cover half of your face. And don't even get me started on those blinder shades.

So I was telling a friend recently about this time I was on a boat and witnessed a school of flying fish take air. When every other fish on the planet tries to haul ass by swimming as fast as possible from predators, these lil guys figured out that they would be better off getting out of the water all together and flying away (for a few seconds that is). Brilliant!!!
